Description

Dalkia Engineering We are a leading provider of technical, engineering and energy solutions across the UK. We deliver complex projects with precision, innovation and a commitment to safety & sustainability. Our teams work across critical environments, supporting clients in healthcare, industrial, commercial & energy sectors.

We’re now looking for an experienced Project‑Based MEP Commissioning Manager to join our team, supporting major projects across the North & Midlands.

If you’re passionate about delivering fully validated, operationally ready buildings — and you thrive in technically demanding environments — this is a role where you can make a real impact.

What You’ll Do

As a Project Commissioning Manager, you’ll lead the full lifecycle commissioning of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health systems on complex construction projects. You’ll be the technical authority ensuring systems are installed, tested, integrated and proven in line with Dalkia’s Commissioning Process, statutory requirements and performance standards.

Your role will include:

  • Developing and delivering project‑specific commissioning strategies and plans
  • Leading commissioning activities across HVAC, BMS, LV/HV, life safety, water systems and specialist technologies
  • Coordinating witness testing, IST, seasonal commissioning and system validation
  • Integrating commissioning into the main construction programme and managing associated risks
  • Acting as the primary commissioning interface with clients, designers, contractors and FM teams
  • Ensuring full documentation, asset data and O&M information is complete and accurate
  • Supporting soft landings, operational readiness and post‑handover fine‑tuning
  • This is a hands‑on, technically authoritative role where your expertise will directly influence project success.

    What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who brings deep technical capability and strong leadership, including:

    • Proven commissioning experience on complex MEP projects
    • Strong understanding of integrated testing methodologies and CIBSE commissioning codes
    • Ability to interpret detailed MEP design documentation
    • Experience working in regulated or high‑security environments (advantageous)
    • Excellent coordination, communication and stakeholder‑management skills
  • A methodical, detail‑driven approach with a focus on quality and compliance
  • Ability to remain calm and solutions‑focused under programme pressure

  • Qualifications that will help you stand out:

    • Degree or HND in Building Services Engineering (or related discipline)
    • CSA Membership (minimum Grade 4, working towards Grade 6)
    • CSCS / SMSTS
    • Commissioning or Soft Landings accreditation (desirable)
