We have an exciting opportunity to join a Family Hub Team within Nottinghamshire. Our work with children 0-5 years and their families remains part of our core offer, but are expanding our service offer to 0-19 years.

You will be able to undertake one-to-one work with parents/carers, deliver training and supervision to volunteers, and create and improve networks in local communities.

You must have experience of working with children 0-5 and their families, an NVQ 3 (or equivalent) in a related topic, such as Childcare, Health and Social Care or Community Development, hold a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work purposes (unless registered as disabled).

You must be able to demonstrate sound knowledge in the following areas:

  • Early help and intervention for children and families.
  • Working in diverse communities and the ability to work in a non-discriminatory way.
  • Safeguarding of vulnerable children and adults.
  • Working in partnership with a range of agencies.
  • Taking an active lead on community engagement including co-production and evaluation with children, families, and stakeholders.
  • Recruiting, training and supervising volunteers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a range of people including children, families and other professionals.
  • ICT skills, and an understanding of data protection.
