We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Community Fundraiser to join our dedicated, experienced and growing team of professionals as we embark on a journey of expansion.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment within a developing service. It is a key role within the Fundraising Team pioneering the launch of community fundraising income and developing local connections and supporters, serving to feed into the charity’s other fundraising income lines.

Duties and responsibilities
The Community Fundraiser will be responsible for raising funds through cultivating relationships with local supporters and recruiting fundraising volunteers. They wil
l be required to work alongside the Director of Income Generation to create and deliver the Community Fundraising strategy.
They will need to carefully plan and deliver a regional approach to community engagement by galvanizing existing community groups and networks and proactively recruiting new supporters to choose Caudwell Children for their own fundraising activities, offering advice and support to encourage successful fundraising and repeat, long term support.
Key Responsibilities
Generation of Income: Drive fundraising activity within a specified geographical area. Delivering income to targets and developing sustainable community fundraising activities and income streams.
Strategic planning: Support in the development of Caudwell Children’s first Community Fundraising Strategy. Applying a knowledge of the geographical region and existing community groups/networks to ensure a comprehensive awareness of Caudwell Children and the need for fundraising among the business community and general public.
Supporter Engagement: Identify, recruit and support individuals, local businesses and families to create targeted community fundraising groups. Build and maintain relationships with donors to encourage repeat contributions.
Fundraising Activities: Recommend and encourage community fundraising events, campaigns and initiatives to achieve financial goals and raise awareness for the Charity within Staffordshire. Maintain an excellent level

- Experience in creating and delivering plans and pipelines to deliver income to targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously.
- Community Knowledge: Familiarity with local geography and community dynamics in the Staffordshire and Cheshire area with the ability to adapt fundraising strategies accordingly.
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude with a flexible approach to work.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the role after reasonable adjustments have been made for illness or disability.
