As a Community Nurse, you would be supported to develop into an autonomous practitioner; nursing patients with multiple complex health care needs in their own home.
District nursing is a highly specialised area of practice recognised by the Queens Nurses Institute and NMC as a specialist role.
As a Community Staff Nurse, you will work within a neighbourhood team of District Nurse Team Leaders, Community Staff Nurses, Therapists, Registered Nursing Associates, Health Care Assistant’s and phlebotomists to meet the needs of the complex patient in the community and avoid admissions to the acute sector as far as practicable.
