Some key information

  • Permanent, full time position, 37 hours per week.
  • The main office base is County Hall, Taunton, however, this post holder may be required to work from local police stations or council hub offices. This manager will be heading up a team who will be working together, face to face and virtually.
  • There will be flexibility as to where you work in line with work commitments and requirements. There may also be requirements on occasion to attend meetings or event outside of normal office hours.
  • 30 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • This role is new and unique, working collaboratively with an ASB manager within the local constabulary to manage Somerset’s response to ASB across the police and council, with supervision from police and the council.

What will I be doing?

We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:

Leading a new multi-agency team working to respond to and reduce anti-social behaviour across Somerset, ensuring that everyone who experiences anti-social behaviour is able to report their concerns appropriately and achieve the correct and timely response.

Managing the ASB Case Review Process in Somerset.

Facilitating opportunities to engage with local communities to help offer reassurance and build resilience.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

  • Have proven experience in working in partnership with different agencies.
  • Have demonstrable knowledge and expertise in anti-social behaviour legislation. policy and enforcement.
  • Have excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Experience of managing individuals and/or teams.

The salary for this Grade 10 role is £37,280 to £42,771 per annum.
