Description
Here’s a Summary Of The Role

We are looking for a Company Secretarial Assistant to join us on a 9-month contract with an immediate start date.

The Interim Company Secretarial Assistant will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a high-quality company secretarial service across YouGov Group’s global subsidiaries.

You will work within a supportive London-based team in YouGov’s Governance function, helping ensure the Group and its subsidiaries meet regulatory and legislative requirements while promoting strong governance across the organisation.

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):

Entity Management

  • Support the management of a portfolio of YouGov subsidiaries across multiple jurisdictions
  • Apply the Group’s subsidiary governance framework and work closely with stakeholders in Finance, Tax, and Legal & Business Integrity
  • Maintain statutory records and ensure compliance with annual reporting requirements, including confirmations, minutes, and filing of financial statements
  • Maintain signing authority documentation including Powers of Attorney and bank mandates
  • Ensure accuracy and maintenance of the Global Entity Management System (GEMs) and corporate records
  • Liaise with external subsidiary governance providers and review documentation prepared by them
  • Support entity management projects and continuous improvement of governance processes

Team Collaboration

  • Assist in managing the Company Secretariat mailbox and coordinating responses where required
  • Provide cover for colleagues within the Secretariat team when needed
  • Support wider Governance and Company Secretariat projects
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the Deputy Company Secretary and Chief Governance & Compliance Officer

These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:

  • Demonstrable experience in a company secretarial, governance, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of company secretarial practices and governance processes.
  • Experience managing confidential information and working with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
  • Working towards Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience using GEMs or similar legal entity management systems
  • Strong IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
