Risk & Compliance Business Partner

Are you a compliance professional with proven experience in commercial insurance, ideally within a retail broking environment? Can you cut through complexity and guide brokers to deliver great customer outcomes?

What The Day Will Look Like

This role sits within our UK Risk & Compliance function and supports our Commercial Risk business and you’ll play a key role in helping the business understand, embed and meet FCA expectations.

Your Day May Include

  • Acting as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for risk and compliance queries across various business units within Commercial Risk, offering clear, practical oversight, advice and challenge.
  • Helping build awareness and understanding of regulatory developments, including the impact of Consumer Duty on ASME operations.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across Risk & Compliance to ensure Commercial Risk has access to the right second‑line expertise.
  • Attending Solution Unit management committees and regular business review sessions, providing insight, advice and second‑line challenge where needed.
  • Facilitating periodic risk assessments in line with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • Supporting product oversight activities as a second‑line challenger using tools such as OneView.

    Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

    • Proven experience working in an FCA‑regulated commercial insurance industry, ideally within retail broking environment.
    • Strong understanding of regulatory expectations and the ability to translate these into clear, practical business guidance.
    • Experience supporting product oversight, distribution, digital engagement or Consumer Duty implementation.
    • Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing effectively and navigating complex issues.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex regulatory topics for a wide range of audiences.
