Job Profile Summary
This role forms part of the Group Compliance function's leadership team, and will be responsible for the operations sub-team. It will be a core part of delivering and developing the Chaucer group compliance framework across the various jurisdictions in which it operates.
Manage Compliance team operations including resource forecasting and project planning, responsibility for Compliance owned regulatory returns, and the Compliance incident & breach management process.
Support the Head of Compliance in budget forecasting and planning exercises.
Maintain the Compliance function's scope & service definition documentation.
Responsibility for Compliance Intranet page and Internal/External Communications & templates.
Responsibility for Compliance owned controls including co-ordination of the quarterly self-certification process.
Act as a central point of contact for 1st line functions regarding general Compliance matters.
Act as a central point of contact and oversight of Compliance systems & technology, including with respect to contract discussions & renewals.
Act as a central contact point for overseas Compliance team members and/or support services.
Manage and develop team members supporting their career paths.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with relevant Chaucer departments.
Lead in the production of Compliance MI and Board/Committee reporting packs.
Manage the Group's use of and maintenance of the Gifts & Hospitality register, whistleblowing register, and conflicts of interest register.
Maintain accurate records of regulatory engagement and ensure the regulatory correspondence log is kept up to date.
Effect & drive continuous improvement in compliance processes and automation.
Arrange and monitor the provision of an effective programme of compliance training via the Compliance Training Plan, including via e-learning.
Competent within the specific job role, aware of all technical requirements and able to apply these in a pragmatic manner in performance of all duties. Aware of internal policies and procedures and working practices consistent with the job role.

London insurance market compliance experience.
Experience of UK insurance regulatory regime.
Lloyd's Managing Agency experience
Management / supervisory experience

Education
2:1 or higher (or equivalent)
