Location: London or Bristol (minimum 3 days per week).
Salary: £66,000 to £73,000, dependent on experience.
Benefits include:
- Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service, plus bank holidays.

We’re excited to announce a new opportunity created by the growth of our project and an expanding team! As part of this progress, we are seeking a Configuration Lead to join us and play a pivotal role in one of the UK’s most ambitious and transformative infrastructure programmes.
The Role
You'll support the Configuration Planning Lead in implementing the Configuration Management Plan and processes. Oversee Configuration Management activities within a key delivery programme, improving standards and tools. Plan and maintain configuration baselines, identify and document Configuration Items, and manage changes effectively. Produce clear status reports and support change control to ensure accurate tracking and closure. Deliver training, conduct audits, and assist with reviews to validate compliance. Finally, you'll contribute to Engineering Data and Information Management, aligning tools and processes with project needs.
The Skills
- Ability to perform and manage all CM processes throughout the full product lifecycle within a similar environment
Additional Desired Skills (Hiring Manager Priorities):
- Prior experience in dedicated CM roles such as: Configuration Administrator, Configuration Engineer, Configuration Controller, Project Configuration Manager, Configuration Manager, Lead Configuration Manager, Head of Configuration Management
- Experience within the Nuclear industry (ideally Nuclear Power Plants) for enhanced confidence in NI‑related projects
- Demonstrated use of PLM tools, including but not limited to: Teamcenter, Windchill, Bentley eB/ALIM, Enovia
- Evidence of CM methodology training such as CM2/CMII or EIA‑649
Knowledge
- Understanding and ability to apply CM Standards (Def Stan 05‑57 / EIA‑649 / ISO 10007 / CM2 / CMMI)
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering and System Lifecycles (ISO15288)
- Knowledge of Technical/Quality Assurance principles
- Member of the Institute of CM or similar
- Six Sigma qualification or similar business improvement qualification
- Understanding of Nuclear industry standards and business operations

The Sizewell C team is one of the most exciting and largest new megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. We have begun constructing a 3.2-gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast in the East of England replicating, wherever possible, the design used for Hinkley Point C, another nuclear power station being built in Somerset.
When built, Sizewell C will be one of the largest power stations to operate in the UK. The power station will generate low carbon electricity for at least 60 years, supplying over 6 million homes and supporting around 7% of the UK’s current electricity needs.
Our vision is to Lead The Way On Nuclear. We want Sizewell C to define what good leadership for the nuclear industry and British infrastructure looks like and deliver on it.
