Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (BHNFT) is delighted to be looking to appoint one whole-time Consultant in Anaesthesia to join our team. This post is to allow expansion of anaesthetic services to meet activity and service specification demands and includes the flexibility to spend a significant amount of time within the job plan to allow for engagement within a specialist area of your choice with particular reference to Obstetric anaesthesia, Trauma and Orthopaedics anaesthesia and Perioperative medicine.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within our close knit anaesthetic and intensive care team at a thriving district general hospital, while pursuing a significant sub-specialty interest. This post will suit an appropriately trained clinician with CCT or equivalent in anaesthesia.

2PA/week dedicated clinical time to perioperative medicine
Support and help to further develop a specialised area of your choice.
Regular in-house teaching and training with regular ICM and Anaesthetic journal clubs.
