Job Overview
Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to expand its services for Diabetes and Endocrinology as we develop and strengthen our 10 year strategy for the future.
We are looking to recruit full-time Consultant Physicians, both newly qualified and with post CCT experience in Diabetes & Endocrinology and General Medicine although less that full time would also be considered.
We would love to see applications from existing and new consultants with interests in ante-natal care, young persons care, footcare and endocrinology. We would also welcome applicants who have an interest in developing their leadership skills, services associated with technology, lipids management, bariatrics, education and research.
The successful applicants will also be expected to strengthen locality-based service delivery of Diabetes & Endocrinology services building our out of hospital model of care.
This post will be based at either North Tyneside General Hospital or Wansbeck General Hospital (this is yet to be determined) but will be trustwide with clinics on other trust sites.
There is the potential option to include some General Medicine on-call within the job plan which would be based out of the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital.
