Maintaining high standards of care both in and out of hours will be central to the role.
The postholder will play an active role in the education and supervision of resident doctors, medical students and midwifery colleagues, and will be encouraged to participate in clinical governance, audit, research and ongoing quality improvement initiatives'.

The post holder will undertake obstetric on-call duties of no more frequent than 1:9, currently 1:16 with internal
