Job Introduction
We are seeking to appoint a Consultant in Genitourinary Medicine to work in our Leicestershire and Rutland Sexual Health service.
Based at our Loughborough Health Centre, with service locations across Rutland, Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray, and Coalville, this a part role, offers a unique opportunity to provide free, confidential sexual health services to the local community .
For this role you will provide expert clinical leadership and high-quality care in Genitourinary Medicine (GUM), managing complex sexually transmitted infections within a multidisciplinary team. The role supports service development, clinical governance, and participation in education, research, and audit. Clinics include both booked and walk-in appointments, with no direct inpatient responsibility but support for secondary care pathways . You will also contribute to staff training and the management of patients requiring PrEP, PEPSE, and complex sexual health care including HIV pathways.
This role is a part time (4 PA’s) Consultant in Genitourinary Medicine with responsibility for the Genitourinary provision in Leicestershire and Rutland based in Loughborough Sexual Health Hub.
The roleis to support the delivery of Level 3 STI care and provision and clinical leadership within the service . The line manager for this role is the Service Manager. There is no current call provision within the service.
