Description
- Directorate: Regeneration, Housing & Environment
- Pay Level: 5 29,064 fully inclusive of Local Weighting Allowance
- Contract Type: 12 months Fixed-term Contract
- Working Hours: 37 hours per week
- Location: Observatory House/ Slough Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in the office)

What You’ll Be Doing
As the Content & Communications Officer for Project Sponge, you will play a key role in promoting a pioneering environmental initiative aimed at reducing flood risk and building resilient communities in Slough and South Buckinghamshire. You will support the creation of engaging content, capture stories and visuals at local events, and help share the project’s activities through digital platforms, social media, and PR campaigns.
Working closely with Slough Borough Council and external partners, you’ll have the opportunity to raise awareness of flood resilience, engage with local communities, and develop your skills in content creation and environmental communications. This role offers a pathway into a rewarding career in the environmental sector while contributing to a more sustainable and flood-resilient future.
