Southampton City Council are looking for an experienced individual to join us as a Contracts Manager within the Contracts & Commercial Services Team at Housing Operations, Southampton City Councils DLO ‘Direct Labour Organisation’.
About The Role
You will be part of the busy Contracts & Commercial Services team, undertaking preparation and management of CDM notifiable projects of varying sizes, you will also be responsible for the management and development of a team of in-house trades under your direct control. As a manager you will assist and support your senior managers in achieving corporate aims, goals and assist in the performance of a fast moving and dynamic department.
As the work is varied a flexible approach is required to meet changing needs and tight deadlines. You will be liaising with residents, peers and colleagues on a daily basis so communication and customer focus will be essential to the role.
About You
The successful applicant must have a full clean driving licence. You will also be required to undergo a DBS check.

Salary: The salary band for this role is £47,181 - £51,357. The
starting salary is £47,181 with annual progression through the salary bands.

You will work a 37-hour week, and your basic leave entitlement is 27 days annual leave per year (not including bank holidays), with an additional 12 days TOIL [Time Off in Lieu] giving a total balance of 39 days leave. The basic leave level of 27 days leave increases to 30 days after you have completed 5 years of continuous service.
