About The Role

The Corporate Finance Technology, Media, and Telecoms (“CF TMT”) team are sector specialists in M&A, capital raising, and strategic advice. Our primary focus sectors include: Software, FinTech, IT services and Data, Digital infrastructure; and Artificial intelligence (including AI-native businesses, and AI infrastructure).

We have an excellent reputation for bringing deep industry expertise and actionable insights to our clients through our analysis and market leading deals experience. Our team is encouraged to work on an agile basis across a range of sector, products, and services.

This Covers Advice In Areas Including

  • Mergers and acquisitions (both sell-side and buy-side);
  • Raising growth capital, including for construction of new telecoms and digital infrastructure; and
  • Strategic and commercial advice for businesses and investors.
  • We also collaborate with our specialist teams on restructuring situations and technology valuations.

We’re recruiting for a manager to join our TMT team. You’ll be working with a highly motivated team of specialist corporate financiers to support our clients from deal origination to execution as well as our Debt Capital Advisory, Valuations and Restructuring colleagues.

As a manager, you’ll be working across the broad TMT sector on the execution of buy-side and sell-side transactions. You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day management of transactions including being responsible for delivery of information memoranda, management presentations, valuation analysis and taking responsibility for preparation of information and client communications.

What Your Days Will Look Like

  • Day-to-day management of transactions which includes responsibility as a key contact for clients on a day-to-day basis on transactions
  • Coaching and mentoring of junior team members
  • Participation in client presentations and meetings
  • Financial modelling and analysis of transactions
  • Preparation and coordination of project deliverables
  • Project managing transactions and liaising with multiple parties
  • Business development activities including identification and targeting of potential opportunities and developing a strong personal network of contacts.

You Have

The role is for you if:

  • Excellent numeracy skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to absorb and analyse data quickly
  • Ideally some experience in an M&A advisory role with expertise in managing deals
  • Ability to undertake detailed financial / commercial analysis for inclusion in client reports
  • Strong written skills with demonstrable experience of producing high quality, tailored documents
  • Demonstrable interest and experience in the banking and lending sector
  • Client focus, with the ability to work quickly and establish effective working relationships
  • Ability to work with a range of clients from entrepreneurs to funds to corporates
  • Logical and methodical approach to problem solving
  • The self-confidence/appetite to be involved in business development activities
  • Ability to develop, coach and motivate junior members of the team
  • Must possess an ACA/CA/ACCA qualification (or international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country
