I am working with a well established and growing accounting firm that is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Manager to join its Manchester office. This role offers the opportunity to manage a varied portfolio of corporate clients, including owner managed businesses, mid market groups, and fast growing companies across a broad range of sectors. It is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional looking to take on more responsibility within a supportive and expanding regional practice.
The Role:
- Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, delivering high quality compliance and advisory services.
- Review corporation tax returns and computations prepared by the team, ensuring accuracy and technical robustness.
- Support senior colleagues with advisory projects such as group structuring, transactions, financing, international matters, and tax planning assignments.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, building strong and long lasting relationships.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to junior team members and contribute to their professional development.
- Contribute to business development activities including proposals, networking, and identifying opportunities within the existing client base.
- Work collaboratively with other departments across the firm to provide joined up advice.
About You:
- CTA or ACA qualified, or equivalent, with solid experience in UK corporate tax.
- Comfortable managing your own portfolio and working independently across compliance and advisory matters.
- Strong technical knowledge with an interest in developing more advanced advisory skills.
- Clear and confident communicator, able to explain tax issues in a practical and accessible way.
- Proactive, organised, and commercially minded, with a desire to contribute to the growth of the Manchester office.
