Credit Controller

Location: Wellingborough - Hybrid

Reporting to: Group Financial Controller

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller. This role will be responsible for the accurate recording and management of customer transactions, including sales invoices, credit notes and related provisions.

The position will primarily support the UK-based sales ledgers, while also providing support and cover to the wider global Credit Control team as required.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Maintaining tidy and accurate sales ledgers, including the setup of new customer accounts
Liaising with customer contacts to ensure debts are collected on time and accurately allocated and reconciled
Checking and releasing sales orders daily, with regular review and management of customer credit limits
Preparing and reviewing sales ledger-related balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring a strong understanding of ledger positions

Working closely with Sales teams and key internal stakeholders to ensure transactions are reported accurately and in a timely manner

Acting as a key contact for the external audit, ensuring appropriate documentation and support are available

Supporting the Group Financial Controller and wider Finance function as required

Providing key input into the Group’s cashflow forecasting

Driving continuous improvement across day-to-day credit control processes and activities

Your Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Strong Excel skills
Credit Control experience within a multi-currency, B2B environment (preferred)
The ability to work proactively and autonomously, while collaborating effectively as part of a wider team
