Description
- Oversee credit control processes to ensure timely payments from customers.
- Maintain and update customer accounts within the accounting system.
- Proactively follow up on overdue invoices and resolve payment issues.
- Conduct credit checks and assess new customer accounts.
- Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts and credit status.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address account discrepancies.
- Respond to customer queries regarding invoices and statements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
Profile
A successful Credit Controller should have:
- This role would suit someone wanting to get their foot in the door or who has a a couple of years experience already within credit control
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with customers and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and resolving payment issues.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and procedures in the retail industry.
