Credit Controller

The role

You’ll join our Finance team as a Credit Controller & Biller, taking ownership of the full billing and collections cycle across a portfolio of agency clients.

The role sits at the heart of how revenue flows through the business. You’ll be responsible for generating billing reports, raising invoices, liaising with internal teams to approve bookings, and following payments through to completion. It’s a hands-on position that requires organisation, persistence and confidence - working closely with both agency teams and clients to resolve queries, keep processes moving and ensure invoices are issued and paid on time.

This is a fast-paced advertising environment where billing cycles can vary and workloads shift with seasonality. Success in the role comes from someone who is proactive and tenacious - comfortable chasing internally and externally, confident speaking to people at all levels across the agency, and able to take control of situations without needing close supervision.

You’ll work as part of a small credit control team within Finance, reporting into the Accounts Receivable function. The position offers strong exposure across the business and suits someone who enjoys problem solving, building relationships and keeping processes running smoothly while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Generating accurate invoices, reports & statements in line with client contracts
• Chasing teams to approve bookings ready for billing
• Chasing clients via phone / video call & email for outstanding invoices or payments
• Establishing & maintaining positive client relationships
• Promptly identifying and actioning any queries raised by the client or teams
• Escalation of overdue debts
• Ensure monthly collection targets are met
• Ad-hoc support to the wider finance team

Candidate Profile

• Strong numeracy skills with basic Excel, Outlook, & computer literate
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task
• Has an understanding and a sense of urgency
• An organised and proactive individual that enjoys collaboration & problem solving with different teams
• Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
