Are you an experienced cybersecurity professional with a strong background in controls testing and security frameworks?
We’re partnering with a leading organisation seeking a Cybersecurity Controls Testing Consultant to deliver independent assurance across multiple business units. This is a highly visible role requiring strong stakeholder engagement, technical depth, and the ability to assess both control design and operating effectiveness.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conducting cybersecurity controls testing against frameworks including SOX, ISO27001, NIST, FFIEC, CSA & PCI-DSS
- Interviewing business and technology stakeholders
- Developing Risk & Control Matrices (RCMs)
- Assessing control design and testing operating effectiveness
- Reviewing evidence and identifying control gaps
- Documenting findings and recommending remediation actions
- Producing high-quality reports for senior stakeholders
- Managing multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment
What We’re Looking For
- Background as a Security Architect / IT Security / Security Engineering professional
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity & IT control frameworks
- Experience in security risk management and assurance
- Broad technical understanding (OS, databases, networking, firewalls, SIEM, DLP, etc.)
- Ability to manage ambiguity and prioritise effectively
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working across governance, IAM, risk, incident management, vulnerability management and broader security domains
