This role will support the design and structuring of logical data models, assist with data mapping and transformation activities, and help bring clarity to complex insurance data environments.

The role will work closely with subject matter experts, solution architects, and delivery teams to support client engagements involving system implementations, data migrations, and transformation programmes.

This is a strong opportunity for someone with early experience in data analysis or modelling who is looking to develop their skills within the specialty insurance market and large-scale technology programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Data Modelling & Structure

  • Support the development of logical data models across underwriting, claims, finance, and reporting domains.
  • Assist in defining data relationships and structures across multiple systems.
  • Help translate business and regulatory requirements into structured data definitions.
  • Contribute to the documentation of data models and supporting artefacts.
  • Data Requirements & Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Work with stakeholders to gather and document data requirements.
    • Support workshops and discussions with business and technology teams.
    • Help clarify data structures, definitions, and relationships across systems.

    Data Transformation & Migration Support

    • Assist with data mapping activities between legacy and target systems.
    • Support the definition of validation rules and transformation logic.
    • Help analyse historical data structures and identify potential data quality issues.
    • Contribute to migration planning and data preparation activities.

    Practice Development

    • Support delivery teams on client engagements requiring structured data analysis.
    • Contribute to the development of repeatable approaches and templates for data modelling work.
    • Help build a stronger data capability within the GSM practice over time.

    Skills & Experience Required

    • Working experience in data analysis, data modelling, or data-related technical roles.
  • Understanding of structured and relational data models.
  • Experience working with data transformation, mapping, or validation processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working with Excel or similar tools to analyse and structure datasets.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to document data structures clearly.
  • Desirable Experience

    • Exposure to insurance or financial services data environments.
    • Familiarity with policy, claims, or underwriting data structures.
    • Experience supporting system implementations or data migration projects.
    • Understanding of regulatory or reporting data considerations.
