Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a Data and Analytics Manager to lead the business intelligence, data governance, data quality and the data platform functions.
You’ll develop and implement a robust data management framework covering people, process and technology, driving tangible improvements in data quality and embedding a culture of data ownership supported by robust processes. You will be accountable for the data platform, ensuring effective management, governance and quality processes are implemented across it. This includes overseeing the data platform architecture and roadmap, ensuring it remains fit for purpose, scalable, secure and aligned to enterprise architecture principles, and enabling effective delivery of business intelligence, analytics and operational data needs.
We’re looking for someone with experience of leading and managing effective data and information functions, including improvement, governance and data platform capability, with demonstrable thought leadership in the field of data and information and ownership of related governance.
You will also have knowledge of BI and data engineering capability, including reporting technologies, data pipeline design, analytics and cloud-based data platforms, alongside experience of data mapping and manipulation to ensure accurate and timely data availability across systems.

In the role you’ll:
- Provide strategic leadership across all aspects of business intelligence, data governance, data quality improvement, and the data platform.
- Develop and implement a company-wide data strategy and ensure alignment and support from all stakeholders.
- Develop and implement a robust data management framework covering people, process and technology, driving tangible improvements in data quality
- Implement a culture of data ownership supported by robust processes and be accountable for the data platform, ensuring effective management, governance and quality processes are implemented across it.
- Manage and mentor the team, ensuring effective triage and prioritisation of requests including report development, data engineering, data platform architecture, data and information governance, change management and data quality.
- Identify the most suitable roadmap for key data aspects (i.e. MDM, data quality tooling, data standards etc.).
- Oversee the data platform architecture and roadmap, ensuring it remains fit for purpose, scalable, secure and aligned to enterprise architecture principles, while setting technical direction and enabling effective delivery of business intelligence, analytics and operational data needs
- Ensure the availability, reliability and integrity of the business intelligence function and the underlying data platform, and that service availability and quality meets requirements.
Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of complex reports and data to business stakeholders, including regulatory returnsSuccessfully collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data and information are considered key assets and managed appropriatelyWork closely with the DPO to maintain GDPR compliance.Advocate adoption of the UK Housing Data Standard and ensure implementation.

- Experience of data mapping, reconfiguration and manipulation to ensure accurate data is available across systems at the right times by users.
