This role sits at the centre of how data is structured, governed and used across a large and complex organisation, supporting the delivery of digital services and ongoing transformation. £48,700 - £59,600 (depending on assessment), 29% employer pension contribution plus full Civil Service benefits. About role
HM Land Registry (HMLR) is continuing a major transformation programme, with a clear ambition to become the world’s leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data.
This role sits at the centre of how HMLR manages and uses data across its services. You will be working across a complex and evolving data landscape, helping to shape how data is structured, governed and used to support both operational services and long-term transformation.
You will operate across both business and technical areas, working with architecture, engineering and data teams to ensure that data is consistent, well-governed and aligned to organisational standards. The role involves supporting the definition of data strategy, contributing to design decisions and ensuring that data architecture is applied consistently across systems and services.

About you
You will have experience working with data in a technical or analytical environment, with an understanding of data modelling, governance and data management practices. You will be confident working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, helping to shape data strategies and ensuring alignment with organisational standards.
You will be able to undertake data impact assessments, analyse source systems and data flows, and present clear insights to support effective decision-making. You will also be comfortable working within established architectural frameworks, applying patterns and principles to solve business problems.

Expectation is to be working from any of the advertised locations 60% of your time across the month (typically 3 days/week), hours are flexible and condensed hours are an option.

Dependent upon assessment at interview your starting salary will be one of the following:
- Developing - £48,700
- Proficient - £54,100
- Accomplished - £59,600
