We are supporting a global organisation in strengthening its data platform and data-driven application capabilities. As part of ongoing investment in modern data architecture, we are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design and build scalable data pipelines and data-centric applications within a cloud environment.
This role will focus on building reliable data processing solutions, integrating business logic with data workflows, and contributing to the architecture of a modern data platform. Strong experience with Databricks and Spark-based processing will be important for success in this role.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data-driven applications integrating data processing, transformation, and business logic
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines to support analytics, application functionality, and operational workloads
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development or data engineering
- Strong experience building data-driven applications and data processing pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with additional experience in languages such as Scala or C# beneficial
- Solid understanding of data engineering principles, distributed processing, and data architecture
- Experience designing systems using microservices, APIs, and integration patterns
Other Desired Skills
- Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code practices
- Experience working in agile development environments
- Ability to contribute to architectural discussions and mentor other engineers
