United Utilities is strengthening its risk‑based approach to long‑term asset investment, and this is an opportunity to join the team shaping that future. Our Asset Health Strategy team develops and supports the systems, insight and capability that underpin long‑term asset health planning across water, wastewater and bioresources.
We work with well-established industry tools such as PIONEER alongside new capabilities in Copperleaf and major data platforms including Exasol, Databricks, Power BI and ArcGIS Online. As we continue to enhance our asset planning approach, we’re looking for a Decision Support Analyst who enjoys working with data, solving problems and producing insight that supports better outcomes for our customers and the environment.
About the Role
As a Decision Support Analyst, you will support our asset investment and risk planning processes by gathering, organising and analysing large datasets. Your work will help the business understand asset performance, deterioration and risk. You’ll also contribute to developing new system functionality, dashboards and reporting tools; working with users to prepare, cleanse and interpret the data behind them.
This role is ideal for someone highly numerate, comfortable with complex datasets and keen to grow their analytical, technical and asset management skills. Experience in asset management, risk modelling or water industry processes is desirable, but if you meet the essential skills, your curiosity, willingness to learn and structured, self‑directed approach are even more important to succeeding in this role.
