Support and development
This is a supportive development opportunity, and you will be supported by:
An experienced and knowledgeable decontamination team
Specialist technical experts within the department
The Authorising Engineer (Decontamination)
A supportive and Senior Leadership Team within Estates & Facilities.
This structure provides a strong foundation for you to develop both operationally and strategically while building your expertise in a highly specialised area.

Person specification
Education & Qualifications
Essential
- Management qualification or equivalent experience
- Eligibility for Full Membership of Institute of Decontamination Sciences
- Qualification in Decontamination Sciences.
Desirable
- Degree in Decontamination Services
- Qualification in the auditing of processes of decontamination or equivalent experience
Knowledge
Essential
- Proven track record in financial management, staff management, risk management and management of decontamination services
- MDD/93/42/EEC, ISO 13485:2016
- Quality Management Systems and audit
- Ability to plan strategically
- Technical knowledge of decontamination processes including sterilisation and high disinfection of medical devices
Experience
Essential
- Proven experience in similar position
- Decontamination experience
Skills & Abilities
Essential
- Computer Literacy
- Proven experience in the management and operation of quality management systems, including internal auditing, external assessment and customer compliance performance
