We are seeking an exceptional and ambitious pharmacy leader to join MFT asDeputy Chief Pharmacist - Operations and Performance.

This is a high-impact senior leadership role within one of thelargest and most progressive NHS Trusts in the UK, where data, systems and innovation support the delivery of high-quality care at scale.

Working in close partnership with the Chief Pharmacist, you will lead theoperational performance, productivity and value agenda for pharmacy, ensuring services are safe, effective and consistently delivering against Trust and national priorities.

This role offers a significant opportunity to shape and delivermodern pharmacy services across multiple sites, using robust performance frameworks and insight to drive measurable improvement.

Qualifications

Essential

• Education to a minimum of master's degree level or equivalent post graduate qualification or equivalent senior level experience

Professional qualification and registration with the relevant professional body (GPhC)

Evidence of a demonstrable commitment to Continual Professional Development

Desirable

• Evidence of Management and Leadership Development geared towards very senior post
• Prince 2 or equivalent evidence of project management experience

Experience

Essential

• Proven experience of working and contributing at a very senior level in the NHS or a similarly complex organisation or system
• Extensive Knowledge and experience of managing demand and capacity planning to meet organisational performance targets Experience of establishing and applying robust performance management systems and accountability frameworks
• Demonstrable evidence of setting and attaining ambitious attainable targets and of leading an implementing innovative solution, and complex change and transformation programmes designed to improve quality and services within tight financial constraints
• Evidence of budget setting and management across multiple complex services
• Demonstrate evidence of sound financial & staff management.
• Experience of providing senior leadership across professional groups

Desirable

• Outstanding reputation and demonstrable successes at director/very senior level, with a proven track record of producing high quality results in the management and leadership of operations in a large organisation, preferably within the NHS

• A proven ability to deliver consistently to NHS standards of operational performance
• Highly developed leadership skills with the ability to motivate, challenge and engage individuals and teams across professional boundaries
• Effective and strategic influencing skills at all levels in the organisation, including influencing Trust Board.
