Deputy Pathology Manager | Spire Bushey | Permanent| Full Time
Spire Bushey Hospital has an exciting opportunity for Deputy Pathology Manager to join the team on a Full Time basis.

Duties And Responsibilities
Manages and develops the services within their specialised area expertise of the pathology service, and across a range of services provided by the laboratory.
Liaise with the Laboratory Consultant and the Pathology Manager, to ensure the provision of the high quality service in an efficient and cost effective manner.
Deputise within the pathology department, local hospital and spoke hospital sites in the absence of the Pathology Manager
- Develop practice including investigation and reporting, within your areas of specialist expertise.
- Analyse, interpret and report information and knowledge related to ideas and concepts.
- Develop and evaluate the movement of laboratory specimens and blood.
- Assist with research and development.
- Develop practice in the application of technology for measuring and monitoring pathology investigations, within your specialist area of expertise..
- Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
- Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others.
- Promotes best practice in health and safety and security.
Who We're Looking For
Qualifications and Training
- Biomedical Scientist HCPC Registration
- Specialist Diploma/ MSc required.
- Additional IBMS Certificates of Expert Practice an advantage
- Degree qualified, HNC Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent which would allow individual to be eligible for Associate Membership of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences.
Experience
- Working within a performance driven culture while maintaining safe standards.
- Meeting financial and budgetary targets.
- Supporting the commercial development of pathology services locally
- Experience in a scientific laboratory.
- Achieved ISO 15189 accreditation.
- Working within a quality assurance and control culture maintaining safe standards.
