Deputy Workstream Lead - EPR
Fixed Term / Secondment till 30th June 2027
This is an internal job opportunity open to employees of RUH, GWH and SFT.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Workstream Lead to play a pivotal role in the planning, development and implementation of designated workstreams across Great Western Hospital (GWH), Royal United Hospitals Bath (RUH) and Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust (SFT).
This role is central to the successful deployment of the Cerner Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme. Deputy Workstream Leads will guide pathway discovery, shape future workflows, oversee configuration activity and act as subject‑matter experts for their clinical or operational area.
Working closely with transformation leads, supplier teams and local change partners, you will ensure that each site designs and delivers a safe, efficient and future‑ready EPR.
Main duties of the job
The Deputy Workstream Lead will drive continuous process improvement across GWH, RUH and SFT by identifying opportunities for development and working with clinical, operational and digital teams to implement system enhancements.
Acting as a key liaison between senior clinical leaders, operational workstreams, IT teams and suppliers such as Oracle Health and third‑party partners, the postholder will ensure alignment of priorities to support the successful implementation of the new EPR.
They will lead the future‑state design for their site, coordinating change partners and working with transformation leads and suppliers to shape clinical configuration, update or develop standard operating procedures and ensure the effective design and delivery of processes and system functionality within their designated area of scope.

Candidates are responsible for covering the cost of their own DBS check if required: £21.50 for a Standard DBS check, recoverable from the first pay, or £49.50 for an Enhanced DBS check, divided and recoverable over the initial two pay periods. Payment for DBS checks for bank posts must be settled prior to commencement. Apprentices are exempt from DBS payment.
