DevOps Engineer – London
Rate: £405 per day | Outside IR35
Location: London – 2 days onsite
Start Date: ASAP (March)
Initial Duration: 6 months, with likely extensions
We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join a major API programme within a leading financial institution. This role will focus on setting standards for APIs across the bank and enabling the full API lifecycle, including publishing and consuming reusable APIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, deployment, and management of reusable APIs across the bank.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a central API catalogue.
- Enable teams to publish, consume, and integrate APIs effectively.
- Provide guidance and technical expertise to the development team.
- Collaborate with team members working on React (UI), Java Spring Boot, and Python.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in DevOps practices and Python scripting.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Previous experience in API development or integration projects.
- Ability to advise and guide teams on technical best practices.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams including front-end and back-end developers.
