We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to lead enterprise‑scale automation, platform reliability, and continuous delivery initiatives. This role demands deep expertise across DevOps, AWS Cloud, CI/CD engineering, infrastructure automation, container platforms, and API management. The Senior DevOps Engineer will serve as a technical SME for DevOps, release engineering, observability, and cloud‑native architectures—driving high availability, performance, and operational excellence across enterprise applications.


Job Location: Belfast, Hybrid


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for DevOps and release platforms including IBM UrbanCode Deploy (uDeploy), GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Tekton, and Harness.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines
to support frequent, secure, and reliable software releases.
  • Drive DevOps, API platform (Apigee, APIM), and AI tooling adoption across enterprise applications to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Implement and manage observability and monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, Splunk, and OpenTelemetry for proactive issue detection and resolution.
  • Define, measure, and track SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs to improve service reliability and operational transparency.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational workflows using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for scalable, repeatable deployments.
  • Support and optimize containerized and cloud‑native workloads on Kubernetes, OpenShift, and AWS, ensuring best practices for scalability, resiliency, and security.
  • Manage API traffic routing, load balancing, versioning, and secure deployments using NGINX, Apigee, and enterprise API gateways.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and drive continuous improvement across systems and platforms.

  • Required Skills & Experience

    Hands-on experience with:

    • AWS Cloud services and cloud-native architectures
    • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Tekton, Harness, uDeploy
    • Infrastructure automation: Terraform, Ansible
    • Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
    • API management: Apigee, APIM, NGINX

    Strong expertise with Linux, Git, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

    Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, logging, and reliability engineering.

    • Proven experience in designing scalable, secure, and automated deployment practices.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), Terraform, or DevOps disciplines.
    • Experience with AI‑based tooling for operations, predictive monitoring, or automated remediation.
    • Strong understanding of security best practices in CI/CD, cloud, and API management.
