Role Overview
As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and optimising cloud-based infrastructure and automation solutions. You will work within an Agile team, focusing on scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures that support modern digital services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous integration and delivery
- Automate system deployments, configuration, and monitoring for reliability and performance
- Manage and optimise containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Collaborate with developers, security engineers, and architects to deliver high-quality solutions
- For Senior Engineers: Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and contribute to solution design decisions
Skills & Experience Required
- Active SC clearance (applications without clearance cannot be considered)
- Proven experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, ECS/EKS)
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Scripting ability with Python or Bash
- Version control experience (Git)
