Digital Transformation Lead

Role Purpose

The Digital Transformation Lead will drive the organisation’s digital transformation agenda, ensuring the effective implementation, optimisation, and measurable impact of digital systems. The postholder will lead the adoption and continuous improvement of key platforms, including Nourish and Sona, while working closely with external technology partners to assess, develop, and integrate digital solutions that improve care quality, operational efficiency, workforce management, compliance, and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Transformation

• Develop and deliver an organisational digital transformation strategy and implementation roadmap
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, operational efficiency, compliance, and reporting through digital solutions.
• Lead change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new technologies across the organisation.

System Implementation and Optimisation

• Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing optimisation of Nourish and Sona.
• Ensure systems are aligned with operational processes, regulatory requirements, and organisational objectives.
• Act as the internal organisational lead for digital platforms and system functionality.
• Coordinate system upgrades, enhancements, and testing.
• Support system orientation, training, and competency assessment for end users.

Data, Reporting and Performance

• Establish measurable success criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital transformation initiatives.
• Monitor system utilisation, data quality, compliance, efficiency gains, and return on investment.
• Produce performance reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Use system data and analytics to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder and Vendor Management

• Work collaboratively with external digital transformation and integration partners to assess current systems and future requirements.
• Manage relationships with software suppliers and implementation partners.
• Facilitate communication between operational teams, management, and technology providers to ensure successful project delivery.

Training and Support

• Promote digital best practice throughout the organisation.
• Develop and coordinate training programmes to increase digital confidence and competency among staff.
• Support managers and teams in embedding new ways of working and maximising system benefits.

Governance and Compliance

• Ensure digital systems support regulatory compliance, data protection requirements, and organisational policies.
• Contribute to digital governance, information security, and risk management activities.

Person Specification

Essential Knowledge and Experience

• Experience leading digital transformation or systems implementation projects.
• Experience working with workforce management, rostering, care planning, or operational management systems.
• Strong project management and change management skills.
• Experience analysing data and producing meaningful performance reports.
• Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent communication, training, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

• Experience within adult social care, healthcare, or regulated services.
• Knowledge of digital care planning systems and workforce management platforms.
• Understanding of data protection, information governance, and regulatory requirements within social care.
• Relevant qualification in project management, digital transformation, business improvement, or related discipline.

Salary: Up to £60,000 (DOA)
