About This Role
GPO Director
The Global Partners Office (GPO) is a client business group responsible for helping BlackRock deliver differentiated capital and strategic advice to a small set of the firm’s most sophisticated global clients as they look to engage more expansively and selectively with fewer providers. GPO partners cross-functionally to drive client strategy, shape complex opportunities, and deliver the full BlackRock platform across priority relationships.
GPO operates alongside BlackRock’s existing coverage model, strengthening and institutionalizing C-suite connectivity and translating senior engagement into meaningful, large -scale commercial outcomes.
Role Description
The Director role is a senior position within GPO, suited for individuals who can operate with sound judgment across complex client situations, balance competing priorities, and drive progress across cross-functional initiatives. Directors play a central role in shaping opportunities, aligning the firm around client priorities, and ensuring disciplined follow-through.
For a select set of the firm’s most strategically important asset owner and bank client relationships, the Director will actively cover client coverage, investment and decision-making teams. The Director will be responsible for both (i) delivering bespoke, senior-level coverage to these client decision-makers; and (ii) originating, prioritizing, and driving execution of new commercial opportunities from idea through delivery.
