To our People & Communication team, we are now seeking Director, HR Operations & Project Management. In this role you’ll lead a global team responsible for continuously improving our HR systems and delivering robust processes, policies, and practices that bring TGS' HR strategy to life—locally and globally. The role is part of the global People & Communication management team and plays a key role in shaping TGS for the future, making us able to enable energy for all by unlocking vital, data-driven solutions and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Systems Owner: Serve as the enterprise owner for HR operational platforms, including HRIS, payroll, time & attendance, and expense reporting systems
  • HR Data Governance & Frameworks: Establish and maintain global governance frameworks for HR systems, data standards, process ownership, and change control, and ensure data integrity, consistency, and governance across global HR systems and reporting.
  • Workforce Analytics & Data Stewardship: Define and lead the People data and workforce analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with business, financial, and ESG priorities, and translate workforce data into executive ready insights to support strategic workforce planning, productivity, cost, and risk decisions.
  • Global Payroll & Expense: Own global payroll and expense reporting governance, ensuring compliance with local regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements, and lead vendor strategy and performance management for global payroll, expense, and HR systems providers.
  • HR Operations & Project Portfolio: Own and prioritize the global HR project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business strategy, capacity, and ROI; establish standard methodologies, governance, and success metrics for HR projects globally; and lead complex, cross‑functional HR transformations (e.g., system implementations, process harmonization, operating model changes).
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on HR operations, systems, workforce data, and execution risk, and build strategic, long-term partnerships with internal clients.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Foster a team culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence able to thrive across geographics and time zones; and lead through influence in a matrixed, global environment with diverse stakeholders.

  • Technology & Efficiency: Ensure programs and strategies implemented effectively utilize technology and innovation both within the People & Communications organization and wider company

  • Key Competencies

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, or related field required; master's degree preferred.
    • 7-10 years of experience in HR or client-facing business roles with deep exposure to HRIS (SuccessFactors preferred), HR operations, payroll, project management, and/or change management.
    • Proven experience managing international teams in a fast-paced environment.
    • Leadership: Experienced in building and empowering high-performing international teams and fostering an inclusive, high‑trust team culture.
  • Change Management: Skilled at leading change in complex environments and navigating group dynamics with confidence.
  • Strategic & Commercial Acumen: Drives performance by ensuring effective processes that balance cost control with competitive positioning. Stays current on industry trends related to utilization of technology in HR operations, workforce analytics and HRIS systems.
  • Innovation: Comfortable challenging the status quo, improving existing systems, and introducing smart, scalable solutions.
  • Analytics: Brings strong financial insight and analytical skills to support informed decision-making.
  • Knowledge & Experience: Strong technical understanding of HRIS (preferably Salesforce), payroll, and expense systems—especially implementation, configuration, and issue resolution, on a global and local level.
