To accelerate their next phase of expansion, they’re hiring a Business Development Director - Enterprise to spearhead strategic partnerships, build high-impact pipelines, and unlock revenue growth across the UK and Europe.

🚀 The Opportunity

This is more than a sales role. As BD Director, you’ll take full ownership of the UK growth strategy – identifying, closing, and scaling partnerships with banks, fintechs, platforms, and enterprise clients. You’ll lead from the front, navigating complex deals with commercial precision and strategic foresight.

You’ll be the driving force behind building a best-in-class go-to-market motion in one of the world’s most competitive fintech markets. This role offers the opportunity to achieve double OTE commission for high performers who consistently close and scale strategic deals.


🤝 Who You’ll Work With

Reporting to the Business Development Lead, you’ll collaborate closely with Compliance, Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure a seamless and impactful partner journey. You’ll also work with colleagues across the US, EU, and Asia-Pacific regions, bridging local market insights with global strategy.


🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and execute the UK business development strategy, targeting financial institutions, digital platforms, and large enterprise clients.
  • Own the full sales lifecycle: from prospecting and solution design to negotiation and go-live.
  • Build and manage a high-quality pipeline focused on high-impact, scalable partnerships.
  • Pitch an API-first platform that solves real-world cross-border pain points.
  • Negotiate commercial and legal terms with C-level stakeholders.
  • Shape and continuously refine go-to-market strategy, messaging, pricing, and sales collateral based on market feedback.
  • Act as the voice of the UK market internally, sharing critical insights with Product and Leadership to inform future roadmap decisions.
  • Contribute to an agile, fast-moving, and collaborative team culture where ideas turn into action at speed.


🧠 What You Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in business development or strategic partnerships in enterprise sales from a fintech, payments, or financial services background.
  • Proven ability to close complex, high-value deals – ideally with regulated institutions.
  • Deep understanding of cross-border payments, FX, embedded finance, or APIs.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach – equally comfortable with planning and execution.
  • Fluent in the languages of Product, Compliance, and Commercial teams.
  • Confident communicator with strong consultative sales skills and experience influencing C-suite stakeholders.
