DMU Integration Specialist


Location: Filton (60% onsite)

Contract: Until 31/12/2026 (extension likely)

Hours: 35 per week, flexible within 7am–7pm

Pay: £29.89ph PAYE / £40ph Umbrella

Clearance: BPSS+ (completed by the Client’s Security Team)

IR35: Inside IR35


About the Role

Our Client is seeking a skilled DMU Integration Specialist to join their highly engaged Wing Airframe Research & Technology team. You’ll be part of an innovative environment working on cutting‑edge programmes including Wing of Tomorrow and Folding Wing technologies.


This role is central to ensuring the successful development, validation, and integration of the Digital Mock-Up (DMU) for next‑generation aircraft structures. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups, contributing technical leadership and supporting the smooth operation of design, configuration management, and data integration processes.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading, developing, and validating DMUs for the Wing Airframe R&T department.
  • Ensuring real-time DMU availability and alignment with export rules.
  • Performing DMU quality checks, clash detection, resolution follow-up, and product structure updates.
  • Managing data exchange, configuration, and tool/process functionality for the design team.
  • Working with design, systems, and manufacturing stakeholders to support project milestones.
  • Supporting R&T development initiatives across a diverse range of new technology programmes.

  • About You

    • Strong experience using CATIA V5 for creating and validating 3D models, including system installation.
    • Working knowledge of 3DX / 3DExperience (CATIA V6) and familiarity with DMU integration, SSCI, and configuration rules.
    • Experience with PDM/VPM tools and design in a context environment.
    • Understanding of aircraft build processes, functions, operations, and basic systems.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills; confident working in fast‑paced, changing environments.
    • Innovative mindset with curiosity about new technologies.
    • Appreciation of composite design and manufacturing is beneficial.
    • Engineering background (aerospace preferred), but R&T experience not essential.
