Job Summary
As a
Domestic Assistant you will be responsible for keeping wards, offices, and public areas clean to a high standard. You will work as part of the domestic service team, as well as part of the wider community within the hospital setting.
Working Hours:
Post 1: Monday to Friday (20hrs) 16:30-20:30 - Must be flexible to work Bank Holidays as required.
Post 2: Monday to Friday (35 hours) 13:00-20:30 - Must be flexible to work Bank Holidays as required.
Entry Requirements - There is no entry requirement to become a
Domestic Assistant, however you maybe required to complete NVQ Level 1 in cleaning.
Training - When you start as a domestic you will attend an induction and all relevant training will be given.
Communication skills - You will need good communication skills as well as caring and sensitive nature.
Physical Fitness - There is a physical component to working as a domestic assistant as you may be on your feet for long periods of time. A combination of physical fitness and knowledge of proper lifting and manual handling techniques allows you to properly perform the full range of your duties.
