About Africell Group
Africell is a pan-African mobile network operator with US ownership and headquarters in London.
Africell serves millions of customers in Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, The Gambia and Sierra Leone. Since launching in 2000, Africell has introduced mobile technology into some of Africa’s complex geographical and political environments, established deep community bonds, and contributed materially to the continent’s wider economic and social development.
Africell’s products and services - which includes voice and SMS, data, mobile money, and corporate services – are all about creating connection. This means that everyone who works here is part of one of the most exciting stories of our time: the digital revolution sweeping through the continent with the world’s youngest and fastest growing population.
Africell has almost four thousand full-time employees. Roles include engineering, IT, strategy, marketing, legal, finance, logistics, human resources, social impact, communications and public affairs. Overseen by a group leadership team based in London, each of Africell’s individual operating companies enjoys a high degree of autonomy while being an integral part of the broader Africell story.
Africell has an entrepreneurial culture in which ideas are backed up with action and unconventional thinking is welcomed. Africell rewards people who are comfortable with a degree of risk and uncertainty; who relish new demands and unfamiliar challenges; who can work at pace; and who bring creative flair to their professional duties.
The Africell Impact Foundation is the social impact arm of Africell Group. It focuses on two core areas: education and entrepreneurship, and arts and culture. In each area, Africell uses its specialist expertise and resources to create opportunities for students, artists, athletes and entrepreneurs, enabling them to be more successful and creative in their endeavours.

Develop and commission relevant, high-quality content in collaboration with educational partners, subject matter experts and content creators.
Monitor platform usage and learner outcomes, using data to drive continuous improvement and to demonstrate impact to stakeholders.
Project and Operations Management
Lead the end-to-end delivery of Africell's external-facing education projects, managing timelines, budgets and resources effectively.

Develop compelling impact narratives and case studies that bring Africell's education work to life for diverse audiences, including the Board, corporate stakeholders and the public.
Support fundraising and grant applications where relevant, articulating the impact and ambition of Africell's education portfolio to potential funders and partners.
