Position: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Labman HQ, Stokesley, North Yorkshire
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday - Friday 37.5hrs)

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the design, wiring, and integration of robotic systems. Using your practical electrical engineering skills, you’ll help deliver innovative, high-quality automation solutions that embody Labman’s mission to enable science through technology.
What You’ll Do
Location: Labman HQ, Stokesley, North Yorkshire
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday - Friday 37.5hrs)

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the design, wiring, and integration of robotic systems. Using your practical electrical engineering skills, you’ll help deliver innovative, high-quality automation solutions that embody Labman’s mission to enable science through technology.
What You’ll Do
- Designing the electrical control system for bespoke robotic systems.
- This will include single phase and three phase power circuits, DC power circuits, servo and stepper motors, IO devices, sensors, and safety circuits.
- Understanding, interpreting and wiring from electrical drawings.
- Minimum of HNC Level 4 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with SEE Electrical or another electrical drawing package to produce IEC electrical drawings
- Able to understand and interpret component datasheets
- Good communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to manage own time effectively and manage task lists
- Attention to detail
- Fault-finding skills including use of diagnostic equipment
- Experience with industrial fieldbuses
- Knowledge of functional safety and relevant standards, ideally ISO 13849
