Electrical Installation & Maintenance
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and wiring on site.
- Diagnose faults and carry out corrective actions on distribution boards, lighting, motors, control panels, and site services.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) in line with maintenance schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
- Carry out minor project works such as new circuit installations, equipment hook‑ups, and modifications.
- Work in full compliance with local regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct testing and inspection of electrical installations; complete test results, certificates, and reports.
- Ensure safe isolation of circuits and equipment, following lock-out/tag-out and permit-to-work processes.
- Identify and report hazards, unsafe conditions, and near misses; contribute to site safety improvements.
- Respond to breakdowns, prioritizing work to minimize production downtime.
- Liaise with affected stakeholders to plan and coordinate electrical work.
- Provide technical support and advice on electrical issues, upgrades, and energy efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out, materials used, and time spent via the Maximo CMMS system.
- Update electrical drawings, schematics, and asset registers as modifications are made.
- Support audits and inspections by providing documentation and technical information.
- Support the Facilities team with fire alarm testing, emergency response and activities to support the business.

- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering
- C&G 2382 18th Edition
- Experience in an industrial, commercial, or construction environment
- Valid driving licence
- C&G 2391 inspection and testing course
- Strong fault-finding, installation, testing, and inspection skills
- Strong understanding of electrical safety, risk assessments, permits, and isolation
- Ability to diagnose faults quickly and propose effective, long-term solutions
- Clear written and verbal communication with supervisors, colleagues, and contractors
- Ability to work alone and as part of a multi‑discipline team
- Good planning, prioritization, and time‑management skills
- Basic use of email, maintenance systems, and digital documentation
- Safety‑focused with a strong sense of responsibility
- Reliable and proactive, able to use initiative
- Detail‑oriented, with high standards of workmanship
- Flexible, willing to work around production.
