We’re seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team delivering advanced, real-time software solutions.
In this role, you’ll contribute to the full lifecycle of embedded software development- working closely with technical leadership to design, build, and support high-quality systems that meet rigorous engineering and security standards.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team delivering advanced, real-time software solutions.
In this role, you’ll contribute to the full lifecycle of embedded software development- working closely with technical leadership to design, build, and support high-quality systems that meet rigorous engineering and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded software solutions for real-time systems
- Deliver robust, fully tested, and maintainable code aligned with project objectives
- Debug, test, and optimise software for performance in embedded environments
- Ensure adherence to governance policies, secure coding standards, and design review processes
- Collaborate with engineering leadership and provide regular progress updates
- Strong experience working in embedded Linux environments (driver modification desirable, ideally PetaLinux)
- Proven experience developing in C++ for embedded systems, including working with and maintaining existing codebases
- Experience capturing and managing software requirements (ideally using DOORS)
- Experience designing and architecting complex embedded software systems
- Solid understanding of UML and system modelling
- Strong documentation and communication skills (Microsoft Office)
- Familiarity with static analysis and code quality tools (e.g. Coverity)
- Understanding of secure coding practices in C++
- Experience with Git/Bitbucket for version control and configuration management
