A major, multi-strategy proprietary trading firm, expanding its European business / office, are looking to hire a smart, ambitious, driven individual to join its business management function, in a role focused on the firm’s quant / systematic trading strategies.
Joining a small, specialist business management team, but with ownership for the firm's EMEA quant / systematic trading strategies, the hire will manage a broad range of tasks - they include new desk / product launches, advancements into new jurisdictions / geographies, onboarding new investment professionals, infrastructure development across front, middle and back office + broader business strategy responsibilities, working with managing partners to help lead the continued development and buildout of the systematic trading strategy. The hire will be a business manager sat between trading, tech, quant, risk and middle office teams, often driving output & projects (specific to quant / systematic trading) + facilitating clear lines of communication between those teams. The hire will also manage multiple external relationships with suppliers / brokers / third party service providers.
The ideal candidate will roughly have 7-15yrs relevant experience in an investment bank, prop trading or hedge fund business management / COO / strategy team. Candidates from leading management consultant firms can be considered if they have solid financial markets knowledge / experience. Our client is only considering the highest calibre of candidates - they take academics into serious consideration in their assessment of this, including top degrees and an industry qualification such as CFA/CQF. Any advanced tech skills would be advantageous, although not a requirement.
The role will offer the successful hire a significant increase on current base salary and it will pay a 50-100% bonus potential. The firm offer a fantastic benefits package including a daily food allowance, gym membership, gold level private healthcare and a large pension.
