We’re looking for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join our People team and play a pivotal role in enhancing engagement, inclusion, performance and retention worldwide.


Based in Glasgow and reporting to the Global Director of People Experience, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to HR and leaders across multiple regions, delivering expert ER case management, strengthening manager capability, and ensuring our people practices align with both legal requirements and our values.

What you’ll be doing

Employee Relations

  • Lead and manage complex ER investigations in a fast‑paced, sales‑driven environment
  • Coach HRBPs, HR Advisors and line managers on people management best practice
  • Develop HR Coordinators/Advisors in ER handling and people-related queries
  • Provide regular ER case progress updates and trend reporting
  • Identify key ER themes to shape policy development and HR planning
  • Deliver training on ER topics (conflict resolution, people management, policy)
  • Support change initiatives such as restructures and reorganisations


Policy Development

  • Oversee the review and development of global HR policies
  • Partner with regional HRBPs to ensure policies reflect local legislation
  • Maintain a consistent, accessible, version‑controlled policy framework
  • Lead the global rollout and communication of Group HR policies


Continuous Improvement

  • Recommend process improvements and system enhancements
  • Stay connected to external HR and ER networks to adopt best practice
  • Enhance ER tools, documentation and processes

  • Data & Reporting

    • Maintain a global log of ER cases and provide insights to PLT, Group Risk Committee and Audit Committee
    • Use data to identify patterns, root causes and preventative actions
    • Explore new capabilities within SuccessFactors to support case management


    What you’ll bring

    • Strong experience managing end‑to‑end ER cases, including complex and high‑risk matters.
    • Proven ability to coach and advise managers, including senior leaders.
    • Experience working across multiple countries, cultures and legal frameworks.
    • Ability to build strong, credible relationships across HR and the wider business.
    • High levels of autonomy, resilience and sound judgment in a fast‑paced environment.
    • Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills and emotional intelligence.
    • Strong international employment law knowledge and ability to apply it practically.
    • CIPD qualification (or working towards) is highly desirable.
    • Additional languages are a bonus.
