Purpose
We are looking for two optimistic, well-organised and communicative colleagues to join us as Employment, Education and Resilience Specialists. Working with Local Authority care leavers teams to support an employment, education and resilience pilot programme for young people aged 16-24. Working intensively with an active caseload of up to 25 participants who are care leavers. Assessing individual need and supporting with referrals onto employment programmes, supporting into work placements cultivated by your relationships and assisting care leavers to obtain and sustain education outcomes, with resilience building. This role will be based in the community and work closely with participants and stakeholders in the area.
This is an exciting innovation service funded by the Shaw Trust Foundation to design and test a new approach in helping care leavers improve their resilience, employment, education and skills outcomes. You will work closely with the Foundation team, sharing learnings that can be used to inform other interventions to support young people into employment.
