Employment Paralegal / Newly Qualified Solicitor

A highly regarded, top-tier Legal 500 law firm is seeking an Employment Paralegal or Newly Qualified Solicitor to join its well-established Employment team in Greater Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early employment law experience to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative team handling high-quality work for employer clients.


The Role

You will join a close-knit team of experienced employment specialists, supporting a respondent-focused caseload across both contentious and non-contentious matters. The team works with a broad range of employer clients and prides itself on delivering pragmatic, commercially focused advice.


This role offers hands-on exposure to Employment Tribunal matters, alongside the opportunity to build strong client relationships and further develop your technical expertise in employment law.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the management of employment matters in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting fee earners on Employment Tribunal cases, including drafting ET3 responses, preparing Early Case Assessments, liaising with clients and the Tribunal, and reviewing case documentation.
  • Assisting with the preparation of witness statements, bundles, and case papers for hearings.
  • Attending Tribunal hearings where required to provide support and take notes.
  • Conducting legal research to assist with case strategy and ongoing matters.
  • Preparing disclosure and hearing bundles and organising documentation efficiently.
  • Working closely with colleagues to deliver a high standard of service to employer clients.


About You

  • At least 12 months’ experience in employment law as a paralegal or NQ level (paralegal, trainee, or equivalent).
  • A strong technical understanding of employment law and Employment Tribunal procedure.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Confidence when dealing with clients and other stakeholders.
  • A genuine interest in employment and HR law and its practical application.
