We have a new exciting and career defining opportunity for an Engineer – Design, Analysis & Prototyping – to join our growing Hydrogen Systems Engineering team. This is a great opportunity to be a part of the green revolution in aviation, a project that aligns with our company mission, “To be the most Trusted and Sustainable Partner in the Sky”.
Reporting to the Principal Research Engineer for Design, Analysis & Prototyping, the role will support determining gaps in technology, materials, capability or process maturity and identifying ways to rapidly address these gaps in a practical sense (across technology, manufacturing, test). Appropriate plans & strategies will be defined and executed to mature technologies which will involve a combination of Design, hand calculations/computational analysis, and physical creation/testing.
This role will be based at our Bristol GTC, however travel will be expected including occasionally internationally.
How You'll Contribute
This is a multi-discipline role responsible for supporting the prototyping within the development of the hydrogen systems portfolio. It will involve delivering prototypes and physical demonstrations and tests to prove out and enable successful technology V&V within the programme.
The Engineer will be responsible for the following:-
- Design engineering - 3D modelling and DMU management in a PDLM environment
