Working Hours: 36.5, 12 hour shift, 6am - 6pm, 6pm - 6am

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Britvic. This role is crucial in ensuring maximum equipment availability and reliability through effective maintenance practices. Working on an annualized shift pattern, you will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, site utilities, and services while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills with an electrical bias and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Role Responsibilities
- Respond to machine breakdowns promptly and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime while ensuring all work complies with engineering and safety legislation
- Execute planned preventative maintenance activities according to the site maintenance plan, working collaboratively with the engineering planner to optimize maintenance programs
- Lead zero loss teams to reduce utilities usage and drive improvements to equipment reliability through root cause analysis and problem-solving activities
- Manage contractors and issue permits in accordance with site procedures, including reviewing risk assessments and method statements
Experience and Key Attributes
- Proven track record in maintenance delivery with practical engineering/technical experience, preferably with qualifications such as City & Guilds or ONC/HNC in an engineering discipline
- Minimum BTEC/NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Strong multi-skilled background with an electrical bias, capable of understanding root causes of machine breakdowns and developing effective solutions
- Experience working within continuous improvement programs and facilitating problem-solving activities with both technical and non-technical personnel
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with others and gain their support
