We are seeking a motivated, confident, and proactive Environmental Adviser to work closely with our operational teams, helping ensure we meet high standards of environmental performance and regulatory compliance. You will play a key role in embedding strong environmental practices, providing technical guidance, and supporting managers in delivering safe and responsible operations.
You will be a primary point of contact for environmental matters across several UK sites, providing advice on compliance, incident response, inspections, statutory reporting, and the ongoing development of our Environmental Management System (EMS). The role combines time on site with wider organisational support, offering you the opportunity to build relationships, influence outcomes and shape the way we manage environmental responsibilities.

Environmental Compliance
- Ensuring sites meet environmental permit, licence and regulatory requirements.
- Carrying out inspections and audits to identify risks, non‑conformities, and improvement opportunities.
- Providing practical, calm support during environmental issues and incidents.
- Liaising constructively with regulators such as the Environment Agency, local councils, DEFRA and other authorities.
- Supporting the maintenance and continual improvement of the Environmental Management System.
- Assisting with internal and external ISO 14001 audits and keeping documentation up to date.
- Helping teams understand EMS requirements in real operational contexts.
- Collecting, validating and submitting statutory environmental data and returns.
- Managing environmental reporting systems, including Enablon.
- Preparing KPIs and insights to support operational decisions and continuous improvement.
- Developing strong relationships with site teams and managers.
- Providing constructive advice and challenge where needed.
- Promoting a positive environmental culture across the business.
- Supporting the creation and delivery of environmental training.
- Sharing good practice and reinforcing the importance of responsible environmental management.
Experience and Skills
- Experience in environmental compliance or EMS support.
- Good understanding of UK environmental legislation.
- Strong data management and reporting skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience with ISO 14001.
You will join a supportive EHS team committed to ensuring responsible operations and continuous improvement. The role involves close collaboration with site managers, operational teams and technical specialists across the UK, as well as regular engagement with external regulators.
